Chaves County, NM – Cabinet Secretary Ryan Flynn will join technical staff of the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) and the New Mexico Department of Health (DOH) at the Roswell Health Fair on Saturday, July 26th at the Roswell Boys and Girls Club, 200 South Garden, Roswell, NM from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Secretary Flynn will be available to meet with media during the NMED & DOH Domestic Well Water Testing Event at the Health Fair.

"Governor Susana Martinez has made water a top priority of her administration, and it's our job to directly get out into New Mexico communities to offer assistance and answer water-related questions," says Sec. Flynn. "This is just one of many water testing events the state hosts in communities throughout the year. I look forward to participating in several more in the months ahead."

Citizens with domestic wells are encouraged to bring in a 1-gallon fresh water sample from your well (find a faucet that is not connected to a treatment system such as reverse osmosis, water softener, or carbon filter) in a clean glass or plastic container and get it tested.

Specific information on how to collect a water sample can be found at:
