Washington, DC (Sept. 18, 2014) Congressman Steve Pearce applauded today's bipartisan passage by the House of Representatives of H.R. 4, the Jobs for America Act. The Act will make changes to federal law to improve conditions necessary for economic growth and job creation.

"Creating jobs and easing federal regulations on employers will get America and New Mexico moving again. The Jobs for America Act makes changes to federal law and spurs economic growth for job creation," said Congressman Steve Pearce. "This legislation will incentivize businesses to hire veterans, provide tax credits for increased innovation and investments in the U.S., ensure small businesses have the certainty they need to grow and create jobs, and cuts back regulations."

"The House has taken the necessary steps to ensure this country is once again friendly to businesses and job providers. I encourage the Senate to do the right thing and pass H.R. 4. This Administration has created an economic climate that has forced too many Americans into part-time employment or on public assistance."

NOTE: H.R. 4, the Jobs for America Act, passed by a vote of 253 to 163.
