House Democrats Announce New Leadership for 52nd Legislature (2015-2016)

Santa Fe, NM - Democrats in the New Mexico House of Representatives are pleased to announce the election of a new Floor Leader, Whip, and Caucus Chair for the 52nd Legislature. Rep. Brian Egolf (D-Santa Fe), who was elected on the first ballot, will represent the Democrats as their new Floor Leader. Rep. Egolf has served in the House since 2009 and has chaired the Energy and Natural Resources Committee. Representing the Democrats as Minority Whip will be Rep. Sheryl Williams Stapleton (D-Bernalillo), elected in 1995. Leading the Democratic Caucus as Chair will be Rep. Patricia Roybal Caballero (D-Bernalillo), elected in 2013.

House Democrats look forward to a unified and productive 2015 Legislative session. They stand together behind their new leadership to shape laws and a budget that will enhance the quality of life for each and every New Mexican.
