QUEMADO, N.M.; April 17 , 2015 - Gila National Forest officials invite the public to attend an Open House regarding the Escudilla East Landscape Restoration project on the Quemado and Glenwood Ranger Districts. The Open House will be at the Community Center in Luna, New Mexico Thursday May 7, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

The Escudilla East project is in the general vicinity of Luna, NM and encompasses approximately 185,000 acres. The districts are in the early stages of this planning effort and invite the public to provide input and insight into the project. The intent of the Open House is to have a conversation focused on restoration opportunities in this project area. There will be Forest Resource Specialists available to discuss restoration activities and answer questions about this planning effort.
