Santa Fe, NM - New Mexico Film Office Director Nick Maniatis announced today that independent drama "Katie Says Goodbye" is being produced in the state through the end of April in Albuquerque.

The production will employ at least 29 New Mexico crew members, 33 New Mexico actors and approximately 50 local background talent.

Directed by Wayne Roberts and produced by Max Born ("James White"), Kimberly Parker ("The Adderall Diaries"), Eric Schultz ("James White"), Carlo Sirtori ("The Preppie Connection"), Benjamin Steiner and Jake Wasserman ("James White").

Starring Olivia Cooke ("Me, Earl, and the Dying Girl"), Mireille Enos ("The Killing"), Christopher Abbott ("James White"), Jim Belushi ("The Ghostwriter"), Mary Steenburgen ("Philadelphia"), "Katie Says Goodbye," is the story of a seventeen-year-old waitress who supports her deadbeat mother, while saving to escape her truck stop town. After she falls in love with an ex-convict, things quickly turn south for her, ultimately testing her spirit and determination for a better life.
