LasCrucesDist3Move 2301EntradaDelSol 315wLas Cruces - The District 3 Las Cruces Office of the New Mexico Environment Department will be relocating today and tomorrow from 1170 N. Solano to 2301 Entrada del Sol in the vicinity of Young Park. "We will be closed to walk-in business as the move proceeds from today and tomorrow. However our main telephone number will remain active at 575-524-6300," said Environment's Deputy Cabinet Secretary Butch Tongate. "This move is part of the Environment Department's overall strategy to create greater efficiencies of space, updated and modernized office arrangements, as well as ease of access for the public. We recently completed a similar relocation of our District 1 Albuquerque office, and are pleased to be accomplishing the same in our District 3 Las Cruces office."

Members of the public are advised to be prepared for possible delays when contacting the NMED District 3 Office during the relocation period of Thursday, July 30th - Friday, July 31st.

€¢ The Environment Department's District 3 main telephone line (575-524-6300) will remain operational during regular business hours (M-F, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.) during the move, and throughout the month of August. In September the old District 3 main telephone line (575-524-6300) will be closed.

€¢ As of Friday August 7th, the new District 3 main telephone number (575-288-2050) will be activated. Direct dial staff phone numbers for the District 3 office will change following the move. Call 575-288-2050 for referral to new staff phone numbers after August 7th.

€¢ Members of the public visiting the Environment Department's former offices at 1170 N. Solano, NE, will be redirected to 2301 Entrada del Sol as of today owing to the relocation activity, as files, phones, and furniture are packed and moved.

€¢ Email systems for the District 3 office will remain operational during the relocation period.
