ALBUQUERQUE, NM (April 29, 2016) ' The New Mexico Museum of Natural History (NMMNH) Foundation board of directors has selected John Grassham to serve as the interim executive director of the NMMNH Foundation. Grassham was previously the development director for the NMMNH Foundation. He succeeds Jotina Trussell who recently announced her retirement.

"John brings over 20 years of leadership and philanthropy/development experience, and we believe he will bring an even-keeled approach that will help guide the organization until a permanent replacement is identified in the coming months," said Mike Mertz, chairman of the NMMNH board of directors.

Grassham said he is honored to serve as the interim executive director. "I am looking forward to advancing the NMMNH Foundation in its effort to support the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science."
