Washington, D.C. - Jason Emert, 31, was recognized as the Young Republican National Federation Man of the Year at the biennial Young Republican Leadership Conference Gala Saturday night in Washington, D.C.

"I am extremely honored by this award," commented Emert. "But, this would have not been possible without the hard work of a lot of good people who've been instrumental to the success of our organization."

Jason is the Secretary of the Young Republican National Federation and the Chairman of the International Young Democrat Union, the global association of center right and conservative youth political organizations.

"Jason is leader in our organization and has been instrumental in championing the young conservative movement around the world," said Clayton Turner, YRNF Chief of Staff. "He is most deserving of this award and I am proud to have him on our team."

Jason is an international attorney, businessman, and political advisor. He has served in various roles throughout his time in the Young Republicans. He has been the National Committeeman from the Tennessee Young Republican Federation and the Chairman of the Louisiana Young Republican Federation.

Emert concluded, "I know the importance of the Young Republicans. We are on the front lines of the Republican Party's fight for our future. We know the values we champion such as the rule of law, personal liberty, free markets, limited government, and opportunities for all are shared by the majority of our generation and are only protected by the Republican Party. That in itself is worth fighting for and I look forward to continuing to work alongside so many great leaders for many years to come."

Jason is originally from Maryville, TN and is a graduate of Southern Illinois University (BS), the University of Louisiana (MBA), and the University of Miami School of Law (JD). He currently spends his time between East Tennessee and South Louisiana.
