LOS ALAMOS, NM'In honor of Bandelier National Monument's 100th birthday, Los Alamos, New Mexico tourism partners are giving away annual passes to the monument every Monday through May 30, 2016 to visitors who share their stories, memories, and photos taken at Bandelier.

"Bandelier National Monument is an incredible gem in Los Alamos and what better way to celebrate a century of memories than to hold a contest where visitors from all over the country can share a special moment, happy memory, or heartwarming sentiment with family or friends at Bandelier," said Kelly Stewart, Economic Development marketing specialist.

Since the contest began on March 21, 2016 hundreds of visitors have submitted photos, stories and memories on the "Bandelier100" Facebook page, including last week's winner, Susan Giesler Daniels whose first date with her - now - husband took place at Bandelier.

"When I went went on my first date with my husband, he came from California to visit me in NM, so I thought taking him to Bandelier for a hike was the most scenic thing I could do," Daniels wrote as part of her winning submission. "This was August, so on our way up the ladders to Ceremonial Cave, a monsoon afternoon rain storm hit and drenched us through and through. But we had so much fun, he asked me to marry him (for the first time) on the way to the car. Two years later - the same day - we did get married up in Los Alamos, and it rained that day too!"

Like Daniels, those who submit entries for the "Bandelier100" contest have a better chance of winning, the more people comment or "like" the post.

To enter, anyone interested can comment on any of the Bandelier100 posts on the Visit Los Alamos Facebook page at facebook.com/VisitLosAlamos/?fref=ts. Participants are asked to comment on the posts with memories, stories, and photos, about Bandelier. All comments and photos will be considered. Participants can enter multiple times, and anyone can enter. All non-winning submissions from past weeks are considered as well as new submissions each week.

Each winner receives a Bandelier Season Pass, a trail guide, and a Los Alamos Visitor's Guide. Entries will continue to be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on May 29. To enter the "Bandelier100" contest visit https://www.facebook.com/VisitLosAlamos/
