In honor of the Town of Taos declaring 2016 "The Year of Taos Visionaries," Sage Institute of Taos New Mexico is hosting five mindfulness and meditation weekend seminars. We invite the public to come and be inspired by the place that inspired the visionaries of Taos including those who currently sit on Sage Institute's advisory board: Ram Dass, Natalie Goldberg, John Nichols, Sharon Salzberg, and Mirabai Starr.

Mindfulness and meditation practices have been scientifically demonstrated to improve physical, mental, and emotional health, including lowering blood pressure, increase serotonin production that improves mood and behavior, improve immune system, decrease anxiety, create emotional stability, a more balanced mind, and reduce stress overall.

Participants may take just one or all weekend seminars. Subjects will cover Introduction to Meditation, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Insight Meditation, and more.
See website for affordable fees including early-bird discounts and one day options.

These seminars are open to anyone interested in mindfulness and meditation, from beginner to experienced meditator, regardless of cultural or religious background. The weekends can be applied to Sage Institute's innovative Meditation Leader Training Program. This 200-hour training is modeled on the many widely available yoga training programs in the U.S. and is gear toward physical and mental health professionals, school teachers, sports professionals, meditation and yoga practitioners, and leaders from any spiritual tradition who wish to learn to teach meditation and mindfulness to others as a tool for stress reduction, life management, and well-being. CEUs may be available.
