(ALBUQUERQUE, NM)'Veterans' Service Organizations, service providers, community partners, agencies and others who wish to be a part of 2016 Military & Veterans Appreciation Day at the State Fair are invited to attend a meeting on Tuesday, August 9 at 2:00pm at African American Performing Arts Center (AAPC) Classroom at the state fairgrounds in Albuquerque. The AAPC is located at the northeast corner of Copper Ave. NE and San Pedro Dr. NE.

The meeting will be conducted by The New Mexico Department of Veterans Services and the New Mexico State Fair'the two agencies along with the New Mexico Department of Military Affairs which annually present the tribute at the state fair honoring the men and women of our military.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the rules and regulations which apply to all organizations wanting a table, booth or other display along "Main Street" at the fairgrounds on Military & Veterans Day at the State Fair'which this year is Tuesday, September 13. The rules and procedures pertaining to parking, set-up and tear-down will also be outlined.

There are a limited number of available booth space available this year. Registration will be on a first-come, first served basis and can be made at this meeting. Registration can be also be done at any time after the meeting'but will be subjected to space available. Registration cannot be made prior to the meeting.

Every year on Military & Veterans Day at the State Fair, all veterans presenting a copy of their veterans-designation state driver's license, VA Healthcare ID Card, copy of their DD-214 or other legal proof of military separation will be admitted free. All military personnel showing an active-duty/DoD ID card will also be admitted free.
