"We are pleased to honor this business for installing a new solar power system," said Brunner. "Bar C Metal Roofing Supplies is already seeing a saving in its energy bill and this project is a good example how a small business is doing its part to lower their carbon emissions significantly and reduce overall operating costs -- which ultimately will make our country more energy independent."

Brunner presented Bar C Metal Roofing Supplies a certificate of congratulations for receiving $14,153 from USDA Rural Development's REAP program. The funding provided by USDA Rural Development offset the $66,605 cost to install the solar power system at the business.
