Sherri WellsALBUQUERQUE, NM - The New Mexico Museum of Natural History Foundation has announced the selection of Sherri L. Wells as Executive Director.

"The Board of Directors is very pleased that Sherri has agreed to take on this role, as her personality, talents, and experience make her uniquely qualified for the position of Executive Director. I have no doubt that the Foundation will thrive under her leadership" states Foundation Board Chairman, Deron B. Knoner of Keleher & McLeod, P.A.

Sherri's leadership experience includes executive planning, administration, communication, marketing and fund development for non-profits and for-profit entities including a national business publication and a local non-profit. Sherri has served on a multitude of boards in New Mexico, Seattle, and Atlanta.

"I am honored to be chosen for this important role. I am dedicated to our mission of advancing and supporting life-long learning and cultural enrichment in our state. The Foundation works with the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science to develop dynamic programs and services to fit the ever-changing needs of our community and audience. As science education becomes increasingly important to our competitiveness as a world-class city and nation, the Foundation and the Museum are partnering to develop STEM classrooms of the future" states Sherri.
