Santa Fe - Dirk Norris, Executive Director of The New Mexico Film Foundation, announced today the election of Los Lunas resident and filmmaker Harry Musselwhite to the post of President of the Board of The New Mexico Film Foundation.

Musselwhite brings a wealth of experience to the position, having served as The Executive Director of The Rome International Film Festival and President of The Board of The Rome (GA) Area Council for The Arts. He has enjoyed a wide ranging career as a professional opera singer, conductor, college educator, and award winning screenwriter and filmmaker. He is the Creator and Executive Producer of a New Mexico based reality show in progress, "Horse People".

"We are looking forward to Harry's expertise and leadership to continue the vision of the New Mexico Film Foundation," said Executive Director Norris. "Further, Harry Musselwhite's new position coincides with the move to our new office in Santa Fe located at 418 Montezuma, Suite 17, next door to The Jean Cocteau Cinema."

Outgoing Board President Tracy Jordan states, "I wish to say that everyone who has volunteered, contributed, served on the board or in some other manner supported the New Mexico Film foundation is so very highly appreciated."

"The New Mexico Film Foundation's out-going President, Tracy Jordan served a full 2 year term and has done a superb job and was all-in from the beginning," Said Norris. "Tracy will continue as Vice President and concentrate on grant writing."
