Las Cruces, NM (March 18, 2017) Congressman Steve Pearce today hosted a town hall meeting in coordination with Indivisible groups of Southern New Mexico at the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum in Las Cruces. The town hall drew roughly 600 New Mexicans and lasted over two hours.

"I was more than happy to answer the call from my constituents in Las Cruces who wanted their concerns listened to and their questions answered. Without a doubt, the crowd today was very energetic and expressive, but also passionate," stated Rep. Pearce. "We have unique opportunities right now to strengthen our economy and bring more quality jobs to our communities. I am committed to finding viable solutions that ensure farmers and ranchers are not choked out by over regulations, our health care system is affordable and accessible, our borders are secure for the safety of our communities, our soldiers have the resources they need to execute their missions, and our education system sets children up for success. To do this though, we have to come together, in a respectful manner, to find the best solutions."

Rep. Pearce continued to state, "While I was excited to see so many different viewpoints represented today, I also want to make sure that as we move forward, we are doing so respectfully so that our priorities are communicated clearly. I will continue to listen to my constituents so I can better layout a pathway forward towards a more prosperous New Mexico. Thank you to all of the coordinators and volunteers that helped make today's community discussion possible. I look forward to continuing this conversation with the people of New Mexico's Second District."

This was Rep. Pearce's fourth town hall in a little over one month. The telephone town hall had over 10,000 participants from all over the Second Congressional District of New Mexico. Rep.
