Washington, DC (May 2, 2017) Congressman Steve Pearce released the following statement on the President's nomination of former U.S. Representative Scott Garrett as Chairman of the Export-Import Bank Board:

"I applaud the President's decision to nominate my former colleague, Scott Garrett, as the Export-Import Bank's Chairman of the Board. The Export-Import Bank has an important role to play in the economy, helping US businesses compete globally. In recent years, the Bank has lost focus and run largely without accountability or reform. I look forward to working with Scott to reform the Export-Import Bank to best serve the American people, and the American economy."
