Santa Fe, NM - New Mexico Culture Squared (NMC2) is a multi-year NM Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) project to build and manage partnerships between DCA institutions and cultural organizations that will enhance the impact, effectiveness, attendance, and visitor experience of exhibitions and programs of DCA entities. Under the management of AMP Concerts, NMC2 will create programs in collaboration with State Historic Sites, DCA Museums, and various cultural organizations with the goal of increasing public programs statewide and promoting New Mexico as a destination for arts and culture.

NMC2 will kick off with a series of free all-day programs at various New Mexico Historic Sites, including the "2nd Annual Bosque Redondo Memorial Gourd Dance: Healing the Past for Our Children's Future" on Saturday, May 13, 2017, from 10 am to 10pm; "Reggae by the River" at Coronado Historic Site in Bernalillo on Saturday, May 27, 2017, from 10 am to 3 pm; "Jammin' in Jemez" at the Jemez Historic Site in Jemez Springs on May 28, 2017, from 11 am to 3 pm; "San Juan Day Celebration" at Lincoln Historic Site in Lincoln on Saturday, June 24, 2017, from 10 am to 3 pm; and an "Apple Harvest Festival" at Los Luceros in Velarde, NM, date to be determined.

These FREE events will include storytelling, tours of the sites, concerts, and many other family-friendly activities by some of New Mexico's most treasured artists including prolific native storyteller Emmett "Shkeme" Garcia, the reggae band Native Roots, traditional flutist Marlon Magdalena, poetic funk/jazz/hip hop collective DDAT from Farmington, The Flying J Wranglers out of Ruidoso and NEA Heritage Fellow Cipriano Vigil and family in concert. Concert-goers are encouraged to come prepared for weather (of any kind) and to bring a lawn chair.
