Santa Fe, N.M. - The New Mexico Film Office announced it will extend the submission deadline for the 2017 NM Filmmakers Showcase. The new deadline for entries is Monday, July 31, 2017 at 5:00 pm. You may submit your project and application to: https://filmfreeway.com/festival/2017NewMexicoFilmmakersShowcase.

This annual event features a vast range of creative filmmaking talent from New Mexicans around the state. There is no charge to enter and the Showcase is free and open to the public to attend.

A panel of local film professionals will judge the projects in various categories, and winning films will travel around the state, coordinated by the New Mexico Film Office in collaboration with local theatres and local film festivals.

This year there are seven (7) categories for submission: drama, horror, sci-fi/fantasy, comedy, documentary, student, and music video. The maximum run time for entries is 120 minutes.
