PHOENIX - The Texas Society of Enrolled Agents, the El Paso Community College Small Business Development Center, the National Association of Tax Professionals - Texas and the Internal Revenue Service are offering seven hours of continual education (CE) by attending a one day seminar on Friday, Aug. 4, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the El Paso Community College, Small Business Development Center, Building A, Auditorium, 9050 Viscount Blvd., in El Paso, Texas.

Tax topics to be covered include: New Due Diligence Rules and Compliance Impacting Tax Practices; Representing Clients; Data Breach: Protect Your Client, Protect Yourself and Third Party Authorizations, Power of Attorney Form 2848 and Form 8821.

IRS speakers from Collection, Exam and the Taxpayer Advocate Service will host a panel discussion.

This seminar qualifies for seven hours of CE credit for Enrolled Agents and Annual filing Season Program (AFSP) participants. Other tax professionals may qualify for CE credit depending upon the requirements of their organization. A valid Practitioner Tax Identification Number (PTIN) is required for CE credits. The registration fee is $70 through July 15, which includes seminar materials and lunch. After July 15, the registration fee is $75. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. Seating is limited, please register early.
