Albuquerque, NM – July 18, 2017 – The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) program at the Anderson School of Management welcomes the newest cohort of 40 working professionals, who will compose the Class of 2019. Many of this year's cohort are professionals from leading New Mexico employers including Los Alamos National Labs, Sandia National Labs, Intel, PNM, Presbyterian, and UNM, among others. Combined, the cohort has 660 years of professional experience, 254 of which is in management.

"This year's cohort is an exceptionally talented and diverse group of professionals," said Shawn Berman, Interim Dean, Anderson School of Management. "We are pleased to see so many of the area's brightest and most promising professionals furthering their education at UNM."

Working professionals in the EMBA program receive a number of unique benefits. In addition to an AACSB accredited business education, students will have the chance to immerse themselves in an expansive network of New Mexico's top business leaders. Additionally, faculty for the EMBA program are distinguished and experienced educators, professional consultants, and accomplished researchers with whom students receive face-to-face education and personalized attention. All students receive personal accommodation with UNM Anderson School of Management's Executive & Professional Education Center (EPEC) providing textbooks, on-campus parking, catered meals and more.

Program Director, Gina Urias-Sandoval, adds that "the Executive MBA is an accelerated, lockstep MBA program designed for experienced, working professionals and it is unique in that it provides an exceptional business education to doctors, lawyers, managers, directors, government employees and others of varying backgrounds. It accommodates these working professionals busy work schedule with classes every other weekend on Friday afternoon and Saturday mornings."

An added benefit of the program is a 10-Day International Residency, in which students have the opportunity to travel internationally and meet with global business leaders, government executives, and educators to learn international business practices.
