Sunland Park: The New Mexico Department of Transportation District One office (NMDOT) has posted an alert for Monday October 16, 2017:

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with Hasse Contracting Co., Inc. (Contractor) will begin bridge replacement and roadway reconstruction. NM 498 will be closed during construction. All traffic will detour to Sunland Park Drive, Futurity Drive and NM 273 (McNutt Road). Motorists are asked to reduce speed, obey posted signs, use extreme caution, and be cautious of equipment and personnel in the area. Hours of operation will be from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. Construction is scheduled to be completed by summer 2018.
