Santa Fe, NM — 1962 – the year of the Cuban Missile Crisis, when John Glenn became the first American to orbit the Earth and the Beatles released their first recording, "Love Me Do". It was also the year Florene Davidson of the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department began working for what is now the Oil Conservation Division. Today, Davidson will be recognized and celebrated for 55 years of continuous public service with the State of New Mexico.
