White Sands Missile Range Notification

Traffic updates are posted on the NMDOT traffic advisory web-site at http://nmroads.com and can be retrieved through our automated system at 511 in New Mexico or 1-800-432-4269 from any line.

Interstates:

I-10, Mile Marker 84 to 100, Deming 1101630
FNF Construction, INC. (Contractor) will continue Roadway Rehabilitation along Interstate 10. Multiple lane closures will be in effect on both the westbound and eastbound lanes. An 11' width restriction will be in effect throughout the project. Motorists are asked to reduce speed, obey posted signs, use extreme caution, and be cautious of personnel in the area. Paving operations are currently on the eastbound driving lane which is expected to last till March 20th, resuming back to the westbound passing lane. Hours of operation will be from 4:30 am to 7:00 pm. Construction is expected to be completed by fall 2018.

I-25, Mile Marker 154 to 157.839, Lemitar CN 1100660
Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) is continuing with bridge replacement and roadway reconstruction on Interstate 25 in Socorro Co. Interstate traffic is now detoured off of the northbound lane and onto the southbound lane encountering temporary wall barrier along the detour. A 12' width restriction will be in effect throughout the project. Hours of operation will be from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Construction is expected to be completed by fall 2018.

I-25/University Ave, Mile Marker 1, Las Cruces
CobbFendley (Contractor) will have shoulder work posted on I-25 southbound at mile post 1. University Avenue intersection will have posted lane closures both eastbound and westbound lanes for utility maintenance. Speed limit will be reduced; hours of operation will be from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm with the closure lifted daily, expected completion by Friday March 23rd.

US Roadways:

US 70, N Main, Solano, 3 Crosses, Mile Markers 149.2 to 149.5, Las Cruces LC000120
AUI, Inc. (Contractor) will be completing the finalization of the project.

All traffic detours will be removed with traffic returning to correct lanes for the remainder of the project. Please continue to expected delays and temporary lane closures as finish work is completed. Construction will be from 7:00 am to 4:00 PM, 5 days a week.

US 180, Mile Marker 47.4 to 164.4, Cliff, Silver City, Deming CN9900725
San Bar Construction (Contractor) continues with signing and post replacement project along US 180, starting at the intersection of US 180 and NM 159 (Mogollon turn off) and will progress southbound along US 180. Traffic will encounter a flagging operation at times while work is being performed in areas with no shoulder. Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Construction is expected to be completed by spring 2018. The contractor has two crews on the project with one crew working south from Milepost 145 to Deming and one crew working in the Silver City area.

State Roadways:

NM 15 "Pinos Altos", Mile Marker 0 to 1.21, Silver City**NEW CONSTRUCTION** CN1100810
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with TLC Construction (Contractor) will be reconstructing the roadway, installing curb and gutter, sidewalk and bike lanes. Detours will be in place and traffic is asked to reduce speed and use caution, seek an alternate route if possible. Hours of operation will be from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. Construction is scheduled to begin on March 26, 2018 and will be completed by spring of 2019.

NM 26 "Hatch Hwy", Mile Marker 47 to 47.6, Hatch PCN1101310
Villalobos Construction Company, Inc. (Contractor) will be performing Bridge Preservation operations to NM 26 (Rio Grande Bridge) in Dona Ana County. Traffic will encounter a mobile traffic light along with lane closures and flagging operations while work is being performed. Traffic Control closure will be in affect 24 hours a day till project is complete. Construction hours of operation will be from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Motorists are asked to reduce speed, obey posted signs, and use extreme caution, and be cautious of personnel in the area.

NM 136" Pete V Domenici Hwy", Mile Marker 0.448 to 9.168, Santa TeresaE100081,82,83
FNF Construction, INC. (Contractor) continues with roadway reconstruction, roadway rehabilitation, bridge rehabilitation, signalization & lighting along NM 136 the Pete V Domenici Intl. Hwy. Traffic will encounter lane closures as well as detours with an 11' width restriction in effect throughout the project. Both the southbound and northbound lanes are limited to a single lane in each direction from Strauss Rd. to Binational Ave. Due to lane closures travel into the port may be more congested. Contractor's hours of operation will be from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday; lane closures and traffic control shall remain in place 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

NM 498 "Racetrack Drive" Mile Marker 0.600 to 0.900, Sunland Park CN E100140
Hasse Contracting Co., Inc. (Contractor) will continue with bridge replacement and roadway reconstruction. NM 498 will be closed from McNutt to Futurity Drive; detour is in place on Sunland Park Drive. The Contractor's hours of operation will be from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. Construction is scheduled to be completed by summer 2018.

NM 498 "Racetrack Drive" Mile Marker 0.4, Sunland Park HW2M100648
Hasse Contracting Co., Inc. (Contractor) will begin structure preservation for the Rio Grande Bridge. NM 498 will be closed from McNutt to Futurity Drive; detour is in place on Sunland Park Drive. Hours of operation will be from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Thursday. Construction is scheduled to be completed by summer 2018.

NM 152 Mile Marker 5 to 6, Hanover
James Hamilton Construction Co. (Contractor) will have a detour in place for road work on NM 152 for the construction of the Bebo Arch Structure. Speed limit will be reduced to 20 MPH. Hours of operation will be from 6:30 am till 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Construction is scheduled to be complete by summer 2018.

NM 478 Mile Marker 8.7, Vado
Smith & Aguirre Construction (Contractor) will be replacing and repairing sewer/manhole covers. Roadway is closed at this time with a detour in place on NM 226 (W Berino Rd) and NM 189. Hours of operation will be from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. Construction is scheduled to be completed by April 9th

Special Events
US 70 Mile post 170 ON/Off Ramp Closure
WSMR will be holding their annual Bataan Memorial Death March on Sunday March 25th from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm. During this time the exit ramps at mile post 170 will be closed to all traffic for the event. Please expect delays and plan an alternate route.
Las Cruces Projects – City of Las Cruces:

Arroyo Road
From Red Hawk Golf Road to Sonoma Ranch Blvd will be closed to through traffic. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed and follow detours around the construction zone.

Church Street
From Bowman Avenue to Griggs Street will have one lane closured to traffic. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution.

Clark Road
Open to through traffic.

Dona Ana Road
From Hamula Drive to Richard Drive is closured to traffic. Access to businesses and residents will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution.

Eagle Ridge Drive
From Mars Avenue to Sunridge Drive will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

Griggs Avenue
From Main Street to Water Street is be closured to traffic. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution.

Lavender Drive
From Elks Drive to Rio Bravo Way will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

Main Street
At the intersection of Griggs Avenue is be closured to traffic. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution.

Second Street
From Picacho Avenue to W Hadley Avenue will be closured to through traffic. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution.

Valley View Avenue
From Lavender Drive to 500 feet west will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

W Hadley Avenue
From N Mesilla Street to North Reymond Street will have lanes closed to through traffic. Access to businesses and residents will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

Water Street
From Bowman Avenue to Griggs Street will have one lane closured to traffic. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed, follow the posted detour routes around the construction zone, and should proceed with caution.
