New Mexico State University rodeo head coach Logan Corbett and his team headed west and competed at the University of Arizona's rodeo March 17, in Tucson, Arizona. The team won three events, barrel racing, bull riding and bareback riding.

NMSU rodeo athlete Blaise Milligan from Artesia, New Mexico, covered his rank bull within a long eight second ride of constant spinning and bucking placing him number one in the bull riding event.

NMSU rodeo athlete Anna Barker of Rochester, Washington, aggressively raced around three barrels in a quick time of 17.7 seconds claiming the crown at the Tucson rodeo. The cowgirl rode home with a buckle and a cash prize.

"Rios (Barker's horse) loves the Tucson arena," Barker said. "I had no doubt if I stayed out of his way and let him work that he would get me where I needed to be."

NMSU rodeo athlete Colton Clemens of Firth, Idaho, covered his bucking horse in the bareback riding event winning the UA college rodeo.

The busy NMSU rodeo athletes have about two weeks to prepare for their next college rodeo in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The Aggies compete in their second to last college rodeo for the season at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at the Southern New Mexico Fairgrounds.
