Washington, D.C. (April 17, 2018) Congressman Steve Pearce released the following statement on the passing of Barbara Bush:

"Cynthia and I are saddened to hear of the passing of former First Lady and loving mother to a United States President, Barbara Bush. She was a remarkable woman who stood by her convictions. She was smart, generous, kind, and a force to be reckoned with. Cynthia and I offer our deepest sympathy and prayers to the Bush family and all those who looked up to Barbara as a role model and as a person of true devotion."
