Washington, DC (June 22, 2018) Congressman Pearce applauds the numerous benefits that have come out of the new tax plan which was passed by Congress six months ago.
 
"The first six months of our nation's new tax law has proven its benefit and worth. Companies in the United States have already paid more than $4 billion in bonuses to their employees. Additionally, the Atlanta Federal Reserve updated its economic output to over 4.5% for the second quarter. This is an astronomically high figure that shows our economy is growing, improving, and benefiting our nation," said Pearce.

"We have seen and heard the countless stories of men and women finding opportunity, and options. Being able to leave jobs they don't love for better ones, receiving bigger bonuses, and earning more money in their paycheck. Under the old tax plan, New Mexicans found it harder for their families, businesses, and communities to thrive. I am proud to see that, under the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act, hard-working tax payers are now earning more and receiving the benefits they deserve. With only six months since its passage of this successful tax overhaul, I look forward to seeing the continued positive impact it will have on New Mexico families and business for years to come."
