“New Mexico’s housing market continues to grow, with sales over the 3,000 mark for the second consecutive month,” reported Connie Hettinga, 2018 REALTORS Association of New Mexico (RANM) President. “June 2018 sales reported to RANM totaled 3,127.”

Median prices also continue to climb. The June $210,000 median represents the highest monthly median price since RANM began keeping statewide statistical information in 2008. Median price indicates that half the properties sold for a higher price and half sold for a lower price.

While the number of active listings across the state has continued to increase each month during 2018, there are still a number of areas in the state reporting low inventories. “The lack of inventory is one of the factors bringing the June average days on market to a monthly low for the year at just 66 days,” says M. Steven Anaya, RANM CEO. “Real estate activity continues to contribute to a growing New Mexico economy with a June 2018 volume of $803,260,625.”
