Santa Fe, NM – State Auditor Wayne Johnson released the following statement today after hearing that long-time state Senator Larry Larrañaga passed away:

“I’m sadden today to hear of the passing of State Rep. Larry Larrañaga. Larry was a good friend, and a humble servant for the people of New Mexico. He was a steady steward of our state budget and respected every single dollar that New Mexicans paid to fund government. He was a gentleman, and it was my honor to work closely with him on several important issues. His leadership and friendship will be sorely missed.”
