WHAT: Mayor Ken Miyagishima and Dean Rolando Flores of the College of ACES will meet with Deputy Mayor of Rikuzentakata, Japan, Mr. Takanori Obayashi to discuss growth of pecans in his city.

VISUALS: Meet and greet, men will be talking and shaking hands The city of Rikuzentakata was devastated by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Mr. Obayashi has taken the lead in rebuilding the city, including almost literally moving a mountain. He is a relatively young man who has accomplished what seems impossible. He is coming to NMSU from Japan to discuss growth of pecans in his city.
