Friday, December 28, The Rifters, The Rifters will be in the house performing some legendary Taos Country Music! Don Richmond, Rod Taylor, and Jim Bradley make up this country trio with beautiful three part harmonies and music ranging from driving bluegrass to ethereal desert beauty! The Rifters are well known for keeping the crowd moving so when you come out this Friday night, be sure to bring you dancing shoes! 7 p.m. Doors, 8 p.m. Showtime, $10 general admission, all ages welcome with parent/guardian supervision.
Saturday, December 29, A Special Holiday Revue with Max Gomez & Jim Lauderdale. Max Gomez is an American singer-songwriter and musician based in Taos, New Mexico. He has been compared to Jackson Browne and John Prine because of his seasoned blend of Americana and folk. James Russell Lauderdale is an American country, bluegrass, and Americana singer-songwriter. Since 1986, he has released 27 studio albums, including collaborations with artists such as Dr. Ralph Stanley, Buddy Miller, Emmylou Harris and Donna the Buffalo. Every Thursday in December, The KTAOS Solar Center and Katy P and the Business come together for the “Ladies Night Parties” to benefit Ashley Quintanilla. Ashley is a Taos native who is 13 years old and battling Embyonal Rhabdomysarcoma cancer. She has tragically lost both of her parents within the past 6 months. All of the money raised and a portions of the proceeds, will go to Ashley’s care and future.
