The New Mexico Interstate Stream Commission's Water Planning Program is excited announce a pilot initiative to convene a series of water planning discussions. Each water planning discussion will focus on a particular water policy as identified in the 2018 State Water Plan (SWP).
The Water Policy topics in the SWP are:
- Water Infrastructure
- Data, Collection, Accessibility, and Monitoring
- Drought
- Watershed Management
- Water Supply and Demand
- Water Conservation
- Water Quality
- Water Planning
The first water planning discussion will be on March 8, 2019 and will focus on the Drought Policy as outlined in the SWP.
The next water planning discussion will take place in early June 2019 and will be focused on water Data Collection, Accessibility and Monitoring. Once details for the Data discussion are finalized, an invite will be sent to you.
We’re asking a wide range of community members from the academic, industrial, environmental and governmental sectors to come together with the purpose of convening meaningful conversations, creating connections and coordinating efforts for thoughtful water planning work.
You are invited to kick off this new event and participate in the first water planning discussion about DROUGHT.
