Thursday May 2,  Jimmy Stadler presents Taos Academy Charter School's Spring Music Show! Come check out the talented youth of Taos at the KTAOS Solar Center! Almost 30 Taos Academy students will be performing in three different bands from 6-8PM. There is no cover but a suggested donation which goes directly to benefit the Taos Academy Music Program. 3 Bands: Iconic 1’s, Trade Marked, Bad Pill. These kids are seriously talented, but with a teacher like Jimmy Stadler that is no surprise! Jimmy Stadler presents Taos Academy Charter School's Spring Music Show! Music starts at 6PM! All ages welcome and encouraged!

Friday May 3, Grammy Nominated DeVotchKa make their way to the KTAOS Solar Center! Doors at 7pm. Music at 8:30 DeVotchKa is a four-piece multi-instrumental and vocal ensemble. They take their name from the Russian word devochka (девочка), meaning "girl". Based in Denver, Colorado, the quartet is made up of Nick Urata, who sings and plays theremin, guitar, bouzouki, piano, and trumpet; Tom Hagerman, who plays violin, accordion, and piano; Jeanie Schroder, who sings and plays sousaphone, double bass, and flute; and Shawn King, who plays percussion and trumpet. Friday May 3, DeVoTchKa, Doors at 7pm.  Music at 8:30 $20 General Admission.

Every THURSDAY at 6PM, Art n’ a Glass with a special guest teacher. You're the Artist! A night of painting in a social setting. No experience required! Learn the fundamentals of painting with local professional Special Guest Artist. Templates available. Take your painting home! Limited space available. Tickets may be purchased at KTAO.com. $20 per event! Admission includes: Canvas, Paint, Brushes, and Extended Happy Hour Pricing! Hand Selected Special Wines Weekly!

April Teachers: UNM Art Department TAKEOVER!

On Fridays, KTAOS Solar Cinema! We will be showing a Harry Potter Marathon in April on a giant 20ft screen with theatre quality audio! Bring blankets, pillows, and pajamas and get comfortable! Until I can find another reporter, I'm having trouble keeping up, so I began a new series called News Briefs with the date they are posted. They are of interest to readers, but I don't have the time to interview and write stories about the person or issue, so I'm just telling you the bits of information, so you don't miss out.

Welcome to our new version of classified ads.  We invite you our readers to post your own classifieds, which are available for viewing 24/7 and are very reasonable in price, because you do all the work yourselves. A recent classified for a van brought a sale within two days.

We have received complaints about large images blocking parts of other articles. If you encounter this problem, click on the title of the article you want to read and it will take you to that article's page, which shows only that article without any intruders. It's a software problem, not easily fixable, other than showing fewer articles per summary page. If you are a frequent visitor, you might not mind fewer articles per page, but if you only come once in a while, you likely want to see more articles to browse.
