San Miguel County, NM- On April 20, 2019 at about 5:20 a.m., the New Mexico State Police responded to an armed robbery in progress at a Giant Gas Station in Romeroville, NM off Interstate 25, near mile post 339.

The initial investigation determined a male suspect, who was identified as a 16-year-old of Las Vegas, NM robbed a Giant Gas Station at gunpoint. Upon leaving, the 16-year-old located and stole a vehicle in the parking lot of the Gas Station while the owner was asleep inside. The male suspect made the owner of the vehicle drive away a short distance at gunpoint, before releasing him.   

State Police officers searched the area and located a male that matched the description given. The male was identified by officers as the suspect in the robbery. He was arrested and taken into custody without further incident.

The juvenile was transported and booked into the Bernalillo Juvenile Detention Center in Albuquerque, NM. There is no further information currently available.
