The Quebradas Fire burning southeast of Escondida Lake, NM in Socorro County remains estimated at 15 acres. Residents are back in their homes, but structures remain threatened due to the pending high winds forecasted today. Resources will continue to mop up hot spots and strengthen containment lines throughout the wind event. Approximately 60 personnel from State Forestry, local volunteer fire departments, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and US Forest Service (USFS) are working this fire. The cause remains under investigation.
