ALBUQUERQUE – The New Mexico Department of Transportation in partnership with the Albuquerque EAA Chapter presents the Land of Enchantment Fly In this Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Double Eagle II Airport in Albuquerque. The FREE, family event begins at 7 a.m. and lasts until 3:00 p.m.
Pilots fly their aircrafts in from around the state and beyond to be judged under such categories as Best Amateur Built Aircraft, Grand Champion, Kids’ Favorite and more. Spectators will see all types of aircraft, from antique planes to helicopters, gliders and ultralights. There is also an opportunity to meet the pilots, aircraft builders and restorers.
What to enjoy:
- Arrive early to attend the opening ceremony and flag raising, which begin at 8 a.m. as the pilots begin to fly in
