SOCORRO – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) is pleased to announce safety improvements in Socorro in the following weeks.

A-Mountain Construction (Contractor) will begin replacing the sidewalk, curb and ramps to include ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) improvements on January 27, 2020 along California Street in Socorro. This project is estimated at just over $158,000 and is scheduled to take about two weeks to complete. In total, eight intersections will receive this safety update. California Street will remain open during construction; traffic control will be in place for the safety of our construction workers.
