Does your community have potentially contaminated properties in need of redevelopment? Would you like to learn more about the available resources to address these properties?
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 6, New Mexico Environment Department, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Railroad Commission of Texas, and Kansas State University - Technical Assistance to Brownfields are hosting a virtual workshop focused on Brownfields Redevelopment near the US–Mexico border. This online workshop will provide an overview of:
- Brownfields Basics – what a brownfield is and is not;
- EPA and State Brownfields Programs resources; and
- Assistance available from the EPA U.S.-Mexico Border Program
We will also have small group conversations to identify the brownfields redevelopment challenges in your communities and discuss possible solutions.
Who should attend? Local government officials, community stakeholders, economic and community development organizations, not-for-profit entities, community groups, private citizens, and others working to promote cleanup and revitalization in the border communities.
