ALBUQUERQUE – August 3, 2021 – SDV Construction, New Mexico’s largest veteran-owned business and a leading general contractor, is seeking superintendents, journeymen and carpenters. In addition to competitive salaries and benefits, the company has recently announced two unique perks – signing bonuses as well as the opportunity to work four 10-hour shifts, providing for three-day weekends.

Newly hired Superintendents will receive a $5,000 signing bonus payable over two years (25% payable after 90 days, 25% after six months, 25% after one year and 25% payable after two years) and other new employees will receive a $1,000 signing bonus (50% payable after 90 days and the remaining 50% after six months).

“Once people join our team, it is rare for them to leave,” said Paul Farless, SDV Construction CEO. “But with so many new projects coming to New Mexico, the labor pool is tight. We want to sweeten the deal, to attract the right people to our great organization.”

SDV also offers other benefits unavailable by most construction firms including paid parental and bereavement leave.

“Our employees are like family to us,” Farless added. “Of course, when a family member needs time off during a birth or a death, we are there for them, so it makes sense for us to provide these paid benefits for our work family.”

SDV is currently seeking to fill four open superintendent jobs and four open journeyman and carpenter positions. Interested applicants should have at least five years’ experience and go to: https://www.sdvconstruction.com/join-our-team
