SANTA FE – Last week, New Mexico was rocked by the news of another murder of a Muslim man in Albuquerque. This makes the fourth murder in nine months which police believe may be connected in a string of murders targeting Muslim men in Albuquerque. The FBI, APD, NMSP, and other law enforcement agencies have begun a national manhunt to bring the killer to justice.

The Senate Republican Caucus released the following statement in response to this developing news:

"Alarmed, saddened, and distraught do not begin to express how deeply jarred we are as New Mexicans in response to this news. Our state has become a safe haven for crime and clearly the most despicable among us have become emboldened to carry out these heinous slayings. We are one New Mexico, united to protect our community, and we stand ready to help in whatever way we can."

Police are currently seeking information on a silver sedan connected with the shootings. More information from APD is attached below.
