New Mexico State University’s College of Engineering will host the 33rd annual WERC Environmental Design Contest April 16-19 at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum.
The public is invited to attend the flash talks from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 16, and the bench-scale demonstrations technologies developed by student teams from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, April 18.
The WERC Environmental Design Contest is a unique design competition that brings industry, government and academia together in search for improved solutions to today’s environmental challenges in all fields of engineering. Since 1991, the competition has been held annually at NMSU, drawing hundreds of college students from throughout the United States and around the world. Many professors return every year because of the unique opportunities for their students.
