LAS CRUCES - The New Mexico Department of Transportation District One office will have overnight roadway closure in place for bridge testing on I-10, University Ave., and S. Main St. being completed by Saturday, November 18, 2023.

To maintain the integrity of the I-10 bridge over University and S. Main Street in Las Cruces, bridge deck testing will be in place from Friday, November 17, 2023, into the early morning on Saturday, November 18, 2023.  Closures will be in place with a detour from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. The planned overnight closure is in place to lessen the impact on travelers. The NMDOT apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks you for your patience.

Friday, November 17, 2023, Shifting Closures.
9 p.m.: Closure of eastbound University and northbound Main St.
11 p.m.: Lift closure of eastbound University Ave.
11:30 p.m.: Test trucks arrive
12 a.m.: Closure of eastbound I-10 lanes
2:30 a.m.: Lift closure of eastbound I-10. Close westbound I-10 lanes
4:30am: Lift closure of westbound I-10
5 a.m.: Lift closure of northbound Main St.
6 a.m.: All closures removed, no impacts to traffic
