Today, we honor the memory of the 2,403 service members and civilians who lost their lives during the unprovoked attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. The "date which will live in infamy," as coined by President Franklin Roosevelt in his famous address to the nation, led America to enter WWII.

The President also promised, "No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people, in their righteous might, will win through to absolute victory."

He was right, and we owe it to all those brave American soldiers. Let us never lose our reverence for every one of the heroes who have fought and continue to fight to keep us safe and free in the United States of America.
