Fred P. Ortiz, 66, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at his residence.  He was born May 20, 1947 in Silver City, NM to Ralph Ortiz and Virginia Portillo.  He is survived by his mother, Virginia P. Ortiz of El Paso, TX; four sons, Jesse Red Ortiz of Silver City; Sam Elijah Ortiz  of Silver City; Isaac Waters of Odessa, TX; Michael Ortiz of El Paso, TX; six sisters, Mary, Polly, Rosie, Liz, Jeane and Susie of El Paso, TX.  He was preceded in death by his father.  Per family request no service will be held.  Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.  Arrangements are with Terrazas Funeral Chapels and Crematory “Trusted care for the ones you love” ~ 575-537-0777.  To send condolences, visit www.terrazasfuneralchapel.com.
