George L. Whitcraft, 75, Deming, New Mexico passed away Sunday, November 10 at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM after a long illness.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Baca's Mimbres Crematory there are no funeral services scheduled.

George was born on August 24, 1938 to Ruth Rose (Lee) Whitcraft and George L. Whitcraft in Boston, Massachusetts. George enlisted with the U.S. Air Force where he proudly served his country for six years as a Tech Sergeant. After serving his country George resided in Townsend, MA where he worked at GE. Throughout his years George was a member of the Shriners. He lived an active life, having held membership in many Masonic organizations a member of the Free & Accepted Masons, a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and York Rite. George was also a life member and firearms instructor for the NRA. George enjoyed camping, fishing and riding his Harley motorcycle in his free time.

He is survived by his loving wife, Heather Whitcraft; a son, George L. Whitcraft Jr. and his wife Brenda of Townsend, MA; three daughters, Irene Wallace and her fiancée James Rivers of Lunenburg, MA, Ruth Rose Whitcraft and her fiancée Mike Graff of Lunenburg, MA and Rachel Whitcraft of Deming NM; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two nephews, John Lisofsky Jr. his wife Michelle and family & James Lisofsky and his son Jimmy, an Aunt, Jacqueline Lee of Manchester, NH., and numerous cousins. George was preceded in death by his parents and beloved sister, June Whitcraft Lisofsky.
