Joe M. Neal, 94, a resident of Bayard, NM passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at his residence.  

He was born July 29, 1919 in Tarpley, TX to Andrew Jackson Neal and Appie McLendon Neal.  He was a 40 year employee of Kennecott Copper Corporation in Hurley, NM until his retirement.   He was also a former vestryman at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd where his prayerbook service will be held at a later date to be announced.  

He is survived by his wife of 63 yrs, Patricia; one son, Robert; one brother, Andrew Jackson Neal III and wife Connie of Tucson, AZ; numerous nieces and nephews and Rose and Alex Cordova of Las Cruces, NM.    He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles and Delbert Neal.
