Robert A. Zamora, 70, a resident of Santa Clara, NM entered eternal rest Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Mt. View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM.  He was born February 19, 1943 in Santa Rita to Thomas and Rosa Zamora.  

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Gloria of the family home; two sons, Robert Zamora II; Javier Zamora of Santa Clara; one daughter, Rhonda Thal and husband Jim of Plano, TX; six grandchildren, Bobby, Samantha, Xavier, Rose Zamora; J.R. and A.J. Thal; two brothers, Elifas Zamora and wife Carmen of El Paso, TX; Tommy Zamora and wife Jennie of Arenas Valley; five sisters, Helen Hernandez of Silver City; Gena Martinez of Silver City; Aurora Mendoza and husband Alex of Las Cruces; Ellie Maldonado of Phoenix, AZ; Rosemary Arellano of Silver City.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jesus Zamora; one sister, Elvira Walters.  

Visitation will be Thursday, January 2 from 9-10am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the vigil service and holy rosary to be recited by Deacon David Castañon at 10 am.  The funeral liturgy will follow at 11 am at Hurley Infant Jesus Shrine with Father Roberto Barreto officiating.  Pallbearers will be Robert Zamora II, Ben Marquez, Steven Polanco, Chris Arellano, Rudy Lopez and Chicho Avila. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
