Kathryn Turk, 78, passed away on April 4, 2014, at Gila Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Sheridan, Wyoming on August 17, 1935, to Edward ("Ted") and Dorothy Notley Walsh. She attended Sheridan Junior College, where she met her future husband, Raleigh Turk. They raised their family in Racine, Wisconsin, and retired to Silver City in 1992.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, by her parents, and by two brothers, Michael and Patrick Walsh.

She is survived by her children and children-in-law: Steven and Cynthia (Turk) Pogwizd of Birmingham, Alabama; Hal and Mary (Turk) Billings, Teresa Turk, and Edward Turk, all of Silver City; and Daniel and Rebekah Turk of Racine, Wisconsin; and by her grandchildren, Leah Pogwizd of Seattle, Washington, and Michael Pogwizd of Birmingham, Alabama. Kathryn is also survived by her sisters, Mary Todorovich of Casper, Wyoming, and Timmie Edelman of Ronan, Montana; and by her brother, John Walsh of San Antonio, Texas.

There will be no public service, as was her wish. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the High Desert Humane Society 3050 S Cougar Way Silver City, NM 88061. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory.
