Flora Joann Loyd, 75, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Sunshine Haven in Lordsburg, NM as a result of long term illness.

She was born October 3, 1938 to Frank Mirth and Nellie Mirth Keller in St. Louis, MO. She enjoyed attending Bible Baptist Church going for several walks at Wal-Mart daily to visit her friends and was an avid Bingo player before her illness. She also enjoyed telling stories about her life.

She is survived by her life long companion, Paul (Chapo) Loyd of Silver City; four sons, Richard "Shorty" Hickson and wife Jeannette of Silver City; John Hickson and wife Diane of Pallup, WA; Robert Hickson and wife Debbie of Norwich, NY; Phillip Hickson of Silver City; her daughter, Ann Clark and husband Gaylan of Buckhorn; nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; two brothers, Melvin Mirth and wife Coreen and Tyson Mirth; two sisters, Mary and Patricia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Joe and Andy Mirth.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated Saturday, April 19 at 11 am at Bible Baptist Church with Don White officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to Gila/Mesa Cemetery PO Box 434 Cliff, NM 88028. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory. Arrangements are with Terrazas Funeral Chapels and Crematory.
