Yvonne Holguin Romero, 49, a resident of Tyrone, NM entered eternal rest Sunday, April 6, 2014 at her residence.

She was born January 17, 1965 in Lordsburg, NM to Frank Romero and Irene Holguin. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. She loved to play softball with her sisters. They all belonged to the team Purple Passion. She had a love for shopping it was one of her favorite things to do.

She is survived by her mother, Irene Romero of Lordsburg; companion Mary Frances Chavez of the family home; two sons, Ruben Scott and companion Bianca of Lordsburg; Derrick Scott and companion Angelica of Safford, AZ; one daughter, Kiana Scott and companion Randall Saponaro of Silver City; five grandchildren, Ruben, Daniel, Kaileen, Derrick and Dezmond; five brothers, Efren Romero and wife Maria of Tucson, AZ; Frank Romero and companion Pam of Lordsburg; Stevie Romero and wife Deborah of Lordsburg; Eduardo Romero of Las Cruces; Frank Talavera of Lordsburg; six sisters, Debbie Madrid of Lordsburg; Irma Geaney and husband Thomas of Lordsburg; Yvette Hobbs and husband Jeff of Silver City; Beatrice Placencia and husband Danny of Lordsburg; Connie Arambula of Lordsburg and Sylvia Madero and husband Saturnino of Lordsburg; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Ronnie Romero.

Visitation will be Monday, April 14 from 10 - 11 am at Assembly of God Church in Lordsburg 701 Animas St. with the Funeral Service to begin at 11 am, Pastor Ed Kerr officiating. Concluding service interment will follow at Shakespeare cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ruben and Derrick Scott, Efren, Frank, Stevie and Eduardo Romero, Aaron Contreras and Benjie Talavera. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Saponaro, Marisa and Alyssa Chavez, Ray Holguin, Anthony Madrid and her grandchildren, Eric Silva, Ricky Huerta and Isaiah Villa.
