Teresa L. Salas, 84, a resident of Bayard passed away Monday, April 28, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. 

The Holy Rosary will be recited Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 10 O'clock in the morning at Baca's Funeral Chapels. Concluding services and inurnment will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery officiating Deacon Jeremiah Bustillos.

Teresa was born September 11, 1929 in Pinos Altos. She worked at Ft. Bayard Medical Center as a CNA for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children; Pete Salas and companion Rosemary of Bayard, Nancy Salas of Santa Clara, Yvonne Frey (John) of Clovis and Patricia Waian of Silver City; brothers and sisters; Guadalupe Wilkey, Henry and Manuel Lozano, Margaret Vestal and Connie Dalton; 15 grandchildren, '7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, special niece Sally Medina and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her stepfather Guadalupe and mother Catalina Lozano, her sons Ricardo and Estavan Salas, brother Tony Lozano, and sisters Isabel Telles, Feliciana Lozano and Dolores Ortiz.
